Typescript of the included sound tape. Rogerson was interviewed by Albert Winkler for the Saints at War project for Brigham Young University Special Collections on 27 Jan. 2000. Rogerson tells about his service for the United States Army in North Africa, Sicily, Italy, France, Germany, and Austria from 1942 to 1945. His unit was in combat nearly 400 days, and Rogerson was severely wounded at Anzio in Italy. He took part in many battles and campaigns and participated in the liberation of the concentration camp at Dachau, Germany. Roberson was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

Albert Winkler is the American and British History librarian at Brigham Young University and has been a senior librarian since 1979. He received his BA and MA from Utah State University in 1973 and 1976, an MA from the Catholic University of America in 1980, and an MLS and PhD from Brigham Young University in 1981 and 1982, respectively.
